Chocolate Dipped Marshmallows

DIRECTIONS

  • Place pretzels in a shallow dish; set aside. Place a cooling rack over a foil lined baking sheet; set aside.
  • Using a double boiler or a heat-proof bowl over the top of a saucepan, fill bottom of pan halfway with water; bring to a boil. Cover with top of double boiler or bowl; reduce heat to simmer.
  • Add chocolate chips and shortening to top of double boiler or bowl. Heat until chocolate is melted, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, leave bowl over pan to keep chocolate warm.
  • Dip marshmallows into chocolate and roll in pretzels. Sprinkle with sea salt. Place on cooling rack to cool. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
