DIRECTIONS

  • Prepare black beans according to package directions; cool.
  • Purée cooked beans and water in a food processor or blender; set aside.
  • In large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until slightly golden (about 5-7 minutes). Stir in puréed beans, jalapeños, cumin and salt. Continue cooking 10 minutes or until liquid is evaporated and beans are smooth.
