Fried Jalapeños


  • In shallow bowl, combine flour, salt and pepper. Mix in beer; let stand 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, heat oil in deep fryer or large saucepan to 375°F.
  • In batches, coat jalapeño slices with batter and carefully place in hot oil. Fry until slices float and are golden brown (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Remove from oil and drain on clean paper towels; keep warm. Continue with remaining batches, allowing oil to reheat between batches, if necessary.
  • Serve fried jalapeños with warmed con queso.
